“THE REGIME STAKES ON THE CRIMINAL WORLD”

The central office of the Armenian National Congress published a statement which holds that the recent local elections confirmed that under Serge Sargsyan a real criminal revolution is being established. “The regime exposes its political void and stakes on the criminal world, more openly and fully relying on armed gangs, local strongmen, and encouraging them. The role of the latter in intruding polling stations, committing illegalities, intimidation, multiplied in the local elections. The courts have been upgraded as devoted advocates of the criminal. During the trial of the election dispute such vivid evidence was ignored as the use of about 30 percent forged ballots (of other color). Let alone other similar violations enough to repeal the results of those elections. In the meantime, the court rejected that undeniable evidence. Such behavior of the judicial system makes it meaningless to dispute the results of criminalized elections in any court which is equally criminalized. Therefore, the violations in the election in Center will be merely presented to the society, the interested international organizations and the embassies.” The Armenian National Congress states that the violence and illegalities of the regime committed so far cannot affect their determination and political behavior, and with popular support they will continue to fight for freedom, democracy and legality, using all the political methods and means of political struggle.
