THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD LEARN TO BEGIN WITH “MINOR THINGS”

Viva Cell MTS lays out water pipelines, gas pipelines, electric lines village by village, improves the life of village people. This year the company has implemented more projects than the native government despite all its rural development, poverty management and many other local and international programs aimed at the improvement of the life of rural people. Let alone the native “businessmen” whose income is “hardly” enough for slush funds and entertainment. Perhaps the government has no time to deal with such “minor” issues. It is working out pan-Armenian and global projects, plans to turn Armenia into various centers, speaks about the necessity for knowledge, competitiveness, and so on. Perhaps the government has decided that the rural people are hopelessly benighted, and you will hardly make them competitive, and they have already become an annoying burden on the way to high tech, knowledge and all-Armenian revival. Let others deal with them. It is already too trivial to say that major things begin from minor ones: you improve the life of people to enable them to think about things other than their routine. In that case people will be able to gain knowledge, become competitive, and so on. This is one way onto which the government should step to fully discover the potential of its people. The other way is not to allow people solve their everyday problems not to allow them to think about knowledge, their rights, and becoming competitive. But one nice day they may notice from the height of the “national hover” that there is neither homeland nor people below.
