SERGE SARGSYAN MET WITH GUL’S SPECIAL ENVOY
The press office of the president reports that today Serge Sargsyan met with the special envoy of the president of Turkey Abdullah Gul, Ambassador Unal Cevikoz. During the meeting they discussed the upcoming visit of the president of Turkey to Yerevan on Serge Sargsyan’s invitation for the football march Armenia vs. Turkey. Describing the visit of the special envoy of the president of the neighbor country as positive, Serge Sargsyan said it enables talks about the improvement of bilateral relations, exchange of ideas on territorial developments and problems. According to him, the events underway in the Caucasus and worrying the world require great responsibility and set forward serious problems and obligations. The interlocutors discussed the initiative of Turkey for the creation of the platform of stability and security in the Caucasus. Noting that the prime minister of Turkey has set forward a difficult but important issue, Serge Sargsyan said he is for discussing every issue. “Armenia has always welcomed and welcomes efforts aimed to promote confidence, stability, security and cooperation in the region,” Serge Sargsyan said.
