EDWARD NALBANDYAN AND TURKISH PRESIDENT’S ENVOY MET
The foreign minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan and the special envoy of the Turkish president, Ambassador Unal Cevikoz discussed the details of the visit of the Turkish president Abdullah Gul to Yerevan on the invitation of the Armenian president Serge Sargsyan to watch the football match Armenia vs. Turkey on September 6, the foreign ministry reports. During the meeting the minister and the ambassador discussed Turkey’s initiative to establish a platform of stability and security in the Caucasus. Nalbandyan said Armenia welcomes every effort to promote confidence, stability, security and cooperation in the region. According to him, the idea of the platform of stability and security in the Caucasus offered for this purpose may be welcome. The foreign minister of Armenia said Armenia has continuously advocated the establishment of friendly relations with all the countries of the region and lasting solidarity in the Caucasus.
