HENCHAK PARTY CALLS UPON CITIZENS AND NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM TO GIVE WARM WELCOME

On these days a lot of Turkish citizens arrive in Armenia to watch the match Armenia vs. Turkey. Being aware of the innumerable unsettled issues between our homeland and Turkey – no one of us has forgotten the horrible crime at the beginning of the 20th century and the ensuing intolerant and criminal behavior of the Turkish state – we nevertheless call for a warm welcome to the Turkish citizens here because first of all this is a sport, football, which has been politicized for a number of reasons which do not depend on us. We need to prove to the world and Turkey that we are civilized and hospitable people and are able to distinguish between a sports event and political problems. As to our national football team, we are convinced that the guys are aware that the world and the Armenians focus on them, and we all are hopeful that this game will end in our victory. We advise our players to visit Tsitsernakabert and Yerablur before the game, get the inspiration of our ancestors and the immortal spirit of the heroes of Artsakh war. We believe in the victory of our team. This victory will be the victory of our nation, the Armenians worldwide.
