PEOPLE GOT CAUGHT IN THEIR OWN NET
- Serge Sargsyan is known to be fond of creating illusions that the entire world considers him to be the next president of Armenia. From time to time forged opinions are expressed that the United States, or Russia, or the sultan of Brunei think “HE is the best”. Then, however, it becomes clear that these canards take Serge Sargsyan hard efforts.
Why does our defense minister need this? It may seem that thereby he wants to win over the sympathy of the public. But this is not a persuading explanation: why does he need the opinion of the public. He knows that the people of Armenia will never elect him president. Besides, this method of persuading people is not quite clear.
In fact, Serge Sargsyan is fond of referring to his political opponents as cosmopolitan, agents of foreign intelligence. Recently, for instance, too many people in Armenia have started talking that Serge had better think how to avoid appearing in court instead of cherishing unreal dreams of presidency. And the servants of Serge immediately started referring to them as “agents of other countries”.
It seemed that the figure, who goes in for such methods of discrediting his opponents, should have been highly cautious in everything that is related to his own relations with foreign countries. For he may by accident get the image of an agent. But no, Serge Sargsyan is eager to trumpet that in every part of the world they have lined up and are ready to support only him.
And quite recently one of his “friends” has announced that the United States and Russia will secretly support him in the upcoming presidential election. Serge was not upset by the recurrent “canard”. Apparently he was even happy, forgetting that they secretly support from afar only their own agents. And all the others understood that Serge is ready to become a triple agent for the sake of support.
Serge Sargsyan apparently got confused. And he got caught in his own net. It could not have been otherwise. He needs the image of an agent of “the United States and Russia” for a very important cause. After all, he is worried about the opinion of the people of Armenia, the opinion of his mates who were rounded up in the Republican Party, whom he had promised a happy and safe future.
Without the corps of these mates it will be highly difficult for Serge Sargsyan to save from the fury of people, who are waken up very quickly. Meanwhile, these mates are fed up with the “bluffing” of the boss. They need the guarantee of seious “daddies” such as the United States and Russia. And the great powers do not give guarantees – not every agent is fit for becoming president of Armenia. Therefore, Serge needs “canards” to caress his Armenian mates.
All this would be very amusing if it were not so dangerous for the people of Armenia. It is not accidental that many people in Armenia are demanding the dismissal of Serge Sargsyan from the posts he occupies. More and more people become convinced that even if this person was not an agent at one time, now he may be ready to become such at any price.
