LEVON TER-PETROSYAN MET PACE PRESIDENT
On July 23 the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with the president of the PACE Luis Maria de Puig. The representatives of the Center of the Popular Movement Levon Zurabyan, Arman Grigoryan and Avetis Avagyan participated in the meeting. They discussed the home political situation in Armenia, as well as the implementation of the PACE resolution 1620. The first president drew the attention of Mr. Puig to the circular of the head of the Special Investigation Service Mirzoyan, describing it as vivid evidence to the launch of total repression against the activists of the movement. Besides, the issues of political prisoners, freedom of speech and assemblies were discussed, the Center of the Popular Movement informs.
