The press service of the government reports that on July 17 the government decided to provide the retired president Robert Kocharyan with free office and equipment. According to the news release of the government, the decision proceeds from Article 6 of the law on remuneration, service and security of the president of Armenia, which holds that the government of Armenia provides the retired president of Armenia with furnished office. Considering the suggestions of the representatives of the office of the retired president, it was proposed to rent 374.1 sq m of renovated office at 26.1 Vazgen Sargsyan Street, sixth floor, from the Erebuni Plaza company and provide it to Robert Kocharyan free of charge. According to the agreement with Erebuni Plaza LLC, the annual rent is 2 million drams, which includes the bills for parking lots, public utilities and communications (electricity, water, gas, telephone, Internet). According to the suggestions of the representatives of the office of the retired president, 17661.4 thousand drams is needed to furnish the office, which will be allocated from the reserve fund of the government for 2008.
