CZECH FOREIGN MINISTER HOSTED BY LEVON TER-PETROSYAN

On July 6 the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with the foreign minister of Czech Republic Karel Schwartzenberg who is in Armenia for an official visit, the office of Ter-Petrosyan reports. Mr. Schwartzenberg is a famous Czech politician, for a long time he was a human rights advocate, he headed the Helsinki International Committee, lived in migration, is one of the close companions of Vaclav Havel (since 1989). Naturally, during the meeting they mainly talked about protection of human rights in Armenia, democratic freedoms and especially the release of political prisoners. The meeting in which the Czech ambassador to Armenia Ivan Jestrab participated was initiated by the Czech party.
