WHO NEEDS VOTING RIGHTS IF THEY FAVOR INTERESTS OF GOVERNMENT
According to the representative of the Center of the Popular Movement Levon Zurabyan, the Armenian delegation to the PACE tried its hardest in Strasbourg to have the provisions which pose threat to the government withdrawn from the resolution 1620. Levon Zurabyan spoke about it on July 3 at the Friday Club. He said that the Armenian delegation has made immense effort for that. At the same time, however, Levon Zurabyan says no effort has been made regarding the resolution on Azerbaijan, meanwhile it contains a really dangerous provision for the Armenian people and the Armenian nation. Levon Zurabyan means the provision which determines democracy in Azerbaijan by its territorial integrity. In that case, according to Levon Zurabyan, the question occurs who needs the voting rights of Armenia in the PACE if it is going to serve the interests of the government rather than the state and people. Levon Zurabyan said this in answer to the question of reporters what would happen if the voting rights of Armenia in the PACE were suspended.
