THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT IS NOT TO SUPPORT
For two weeks the government will keep the door ajar for entrepreneurs to come up with proposals on improvement of the state of businesses and the business environment. This is an episode from the meeting of the businessmen and the government in which Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated. It was the prime minister who told the businessmen about leaving the door unlocked. Tigran Sargsyan said some more other interesting things, for instance, if the ratio of taxes to the GDP reaches 25 percent, the government will reduce tax rates. This is an interesting and peculiar approach. In fact, what the government tells the businessmen is “pay more now and we will take less later”. The businessmen will naturally agree to this. It is better to give much once to give less later than to give much all the time not so much as to give less later. It is a little complicated resolution, and perhaps it will be necessary to set up a special work group to explain it to the entire business class, but if the government disturbs our officials and sets up working groups to understand foreign resolutions, it is perhaps worthwhile to set up several working groups to explain our own resolutions to our own businessmen. After all, it is all for the sake of the businessmen. And the fact that the new government is ready for a lot of things for the sake of the businessmen becomes evident from the commitment of the government to leave the doors ajar for two weeks. It is not a joke, in such rainy and windy weather the government leaves its door ajar for businessmen. However, it is interesting if afterwards when the doors will be closed the businessmen will have another chance to enter the government, or if the businessmen who entered the government and did not manage to leave it within two weeks will have to stay in the government. Perhaps it is not very bad. Being in government is favorable for a businessman. Evidence to this is the businessmen who occupied or occupy high-ranking positions in the government or government agencies, who run businesses through other people, that is register the businesses with the name of their relative or friend. Although there were other officials there who did not hide they run businesses, and run them in the sweat of their back. It is interesting, however, that the new government ridded of officials who did not hide their businesses. But perhaps in order to involve new businessmen. After all, if the new government has really made up its mind to support businessmen, the best support to them would be appointing all of them to posts. After getting a government post the businessmen will not disturb the government any more and will solve their problems themselves. Hence, in turn, the government could admit groups of businessmen of ten to work, and within a year those ten businessmen would improve their businesses, then they would be fired, and the executive would admit the next group of ten businessmen and so on. And before the economic situation of the fired ten businessmen would deteriorate, it would be their turn to be admitted to work. There seems to be no other way of supporting businesses and improving the business environment. Although there is another option not to support businesses.
