
EDWARD NALBANDYAN MET WITH MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS AND MAMMEDYAROV
The foreign minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan, who is visiting Strasbourg for the 118th session of the CoE Committee of Ministers, had a private meeting with the Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammedyarov on May 6 at the permanent representation of France to the CoE, which continued in the presence of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Bernard Fassier, Matthew Bryza, Yuri Merzlyakov and the personal representative of the OSCE CiO Andrzej Kasprzyk. After the meeting Edward Nalbandyan told reporters that the meeting of the ministers was a cognitive one, the ministers exchanged opinions on the Karabakh process, presented the approaches of their countries, and agreed to continue negotiations. Earlier at the permanent representation of France to the CoE Edward Nalbandyan met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the personal representative of the OSCE CiO. During the meeting they discussed the issue of continuing negotiations on the basis of proposals of the Minsk Group co-chairs. Edward Nalbandyan appreciated the efforts of the co-chairs and asserted the readiness of Armenia to continue talks for solutions.
