The minister of defense of Armenia Seiran Ohanyan visited the memorial to the victims of Genocide on April 24 and afterwards had a briefing and stated that Armenia must be ready to counteract in case the military actions in the area of the conflict of Karabakh are resumed, News Armenia reports. “I am in charge of an agency which must be ready for the resumption of war in order to prevent that war,” Seiran Ohanyan said. According to him, in the current state of neither war no peace Armenia maintains the correlation of forces through improvements in the national army. As to whether the home political situation will affect the settlement of the conflict, Seiran Ohanyan said the process of settlement continues within the plan of actions, however, the political situation at home has certainly affected the reputation of the country.
