It appears that on the eve of the parliamentary election the obvious interference of Russia with the home political affairs of Armenia worries not only the Armenian society but also certain political sets in Russia. The new leader of the Republican Party, the prime minister of Armenia Serge Sargsyan waves the flag of the Russian protection for his political plans so openly that the arbitrariness of the Republican Party is perceived as the result of the “Russian plots”. It is notable that some pro-Serge newspapers openly “praise” the fact that Russia backs their “boss”.
In the context of this situation the article of the Russian Regnum Agency about a certain PBN Consulting is notable, which is described as an organization representing the interests of the United States in the post-Soviet space. The problem is not that the activities of such organizations are presented as troublesome but that the famous Russian political scientist, the president of the Politica Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov is presented as a member of this organization.
In other words, Vyacheslav Nikonov, who has been noted recently as Serge Sargsyan’s “political advocate” and does not spare time and effort to persuade that Serge Sargsyan is irreplaceable, is presented as an agent of an American service.
It is interesting if Serge Sargsyan knows about it.
