RAMKAVAR-DASHINK COLLABORATION
The chair of the Ramkavar Party of Armenia Harutiun Arakelyan elucidated a recent statement by the party endorsing a representative of one party or another in the parliamentary election on May 12 in a news conference on April 20.
Harutiun Arakelyan said the Ramkavar Party of Armenia decided in the conference of the party on February 4 to collaborate with Samvel Babayan’s Dashink Party because Dashink is a new force and has a lot in common with the Ramkavar Party of Armenia. The cooperation has long-term goals. Therefore, it is quite natural that the chair of the Ramkavar Party of Armenia is running for parliament on the Dashink Party’s ticket, and the Ramkavar Party supports the representatives of the Dashink Party running for parliament from the electoral districts 6, 14, 15, 24, 29, 30, 31, 34.
In another 6 electoral districts, 3, 4, 5, 10, 36, 39, the Ramkavar Party of Armenia supports other candidates running for parliament from constituencies, both pro-government candidates, Hairapet Hairapetyan, Sergey Bagratyan, Mushegh Petoyan (Bargavach Hayastan Party), and opposition Manuk Gasparyan. In this relation, Harutiun Arakelyan noted that the Ramkavar Party supports the candidates who have displayed with their activities that they bear and pursue clear ideas.
Harutiun Arakelyan is sure that with the trust of people and “correct use of our resource” the Ramkavar-Dashink collaboration will produce results. On the other hand, however, he knows that there is no culture of political struggle. The businessmen do not announce clearly that they support a political force, there is no financial transparency in the election campaign, the businessmen seek for refuge in the mandate. In brief, “after monopolization of the economy they are trying to monopolize policy. This is not the country and the system we wanted to have.”
