CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PROMISED IMMEDIATE RESPONSE
- The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia decided to release the complaints connected with the May 12 election the CEC has received so far, stated the chair of the CEC Garegin Azaryan on April 18. As of the time of this statement, the CEC had received 10 complains, mostly from the Impeachment Alliance and the Supreme Council Club of Parliamentarians NGO.

Garegin Azaryan said they will respond immediately to the alarms of the media. There is already alarming news. The CEC has extended reports on collection of passports to the Office of Prosecutor General, the Police and the Ministry of Territorial Administration. The Office of Prosecutor General has responded to the CEC but there is no reason for joy. The Office of Prosecutor General said the materials lack definiteness and clarity and, therefore, no charges can be brought against anyone.
There are also complaints related to the voters’ registers. Garegin Azaryan said in this connection that if there is a 100 percent perfect voters’ register in any country, he will resign. He added that the voters’ registers have never been as available as now. Simply the voter needs to visit the polling station to make sure that his name is on the register.
