OVER 1000 PEOPLE LIVE IN OLD PEOPLE’S HOMES
Over 1000 people live in the state old-people’s homes and other 6 similar establishments of Armenia. This information was released by the minister of employment and social security Aghvan Vardanyan during the meeting with the coordinator of the UN Economic and Social Council, ARKA reported. The minister also informed that there are centers in Armenia which take care of elderly people at home.

Today in Armenian history- 1862 Birth of H.F.B. Lynch in London of Irish parentage. Besides his study of law, he became noted as a writer, a geographer, a politician, and a traveller, with a keen interest in Armenia. His two-volume book on his Armenia travels is a classic and describes life in Armenia at the end of the 19th century. In 1906, he was elected to serve as a member of the British Parliament. (He died in London on 1913 11 24).
