THINK ABOUT ALL THE ALIVE AND REMEMBER THE DEAD
The Interstate Aviation Committee released March 8 the final conclusion on the cause of the crash of the Armenian A320. It is not clear yet why the IAC released the conclusion on March 8. There was and could be nothing pleasant about the conclusion, in other words, it is pointless to consider a surprise on the holiday. Although who knows what is pleasant and what is unpleasant? But not only the day of the release arouses questions about the conclusion of the IAC. The questions are many even without having read this conclusion. For instance, why the investigation of the Armenian plane crash lasted so long, meanwhile the IAC managed to get through the investigations of other plane crashes in the territory of the CIS after the crash of our plane. Perhaps it was rather difficult to conclude that the pilots were to blame, and the weather to some degree. Maybe the reason for the lasting investigation was that there were a lot of known and important persons on board. Of course, thus the questions do not end. But we also have to admit that with the scale of the disaster and the importance of the victims any conclusion of the investigation would get different evaluations, and in any case a number of questions would occur.
On the other hand, there is no sufficient reason to disbelieve the conclusion of the IAC. It is clear, however, that the current content of the official conclusion of the IAC lifts responsibility from the alive. In this case, is it appropriate to publish a conclusion which blames the pilots? Normally, these conclusions are confidential and are released in many years after the crash because there are always delicate details which may be a psychological blow for people who are told, in fact, that their relatives caused the death of more than one hundred people. The authors of the conclusion may say, of course, that it is meant to clear the alive from suspicion because in case there is no official conclusion, the public has more doubts that something is kept secret, and it was a murder rather than an accident. However, if the IAC cares about the alive, did it take into account that the family, relatives and friends of the pilots are also alive? Did the IAC take care about all the alive? And finally did they care about the dead? They are absent only physically, which makes their souls more sensitive.
