DASHNAKTSUTYUN IS NOT JEALOUS OF BARGAVACH HAYASTAN
The ARF Dashnaktsutyun will run in the parliamentary election alone, it would like the election to be a political and ideological race, and people to elect their representatives, stated the leader of the ARF faction Hrair Karapetyan today at the Pastark Club. According to him, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun has prepared a 100 page election program, the voters will be offered the summary of these 100 pages. Meanwhile, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s ticket is not ready yet but Hrair Karapetyan assures that this time the political party will include more women. Now there are two female members of parliament from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
Hrair Karapetyan says it is not important for the ARF Dashnaktsutyun which number Hrair Karapetyan will be on the ticket. It is not important whether the ARF Dashnaktsutyun will be parliament majority or a lame duck. “The political line of the government is important. And every member of parliament from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun will represent the stance of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.” If the political line of the government coincides with the stance of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the political party will support the government, Hrair Karapetyan stated, adding that it is not important which force will be majority.
Hrair Karapetyan does not trust the statements by the Bargavach Hayastan Party and other political parties with hundreds of thousands of members, and states that the ARF Dashnaktsutyun with 7000 members has 10 times more supporters, students, youth and juvenile organizations. In other words, if the Bargavach Hayastan Party gets 600 thousand votes in the election, will you disbelieve? In answer to this question Hrair Karapetyan said: “Time will show, people will vote, it will become clear. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun will prevent ballot stuffing, if there is fraud, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun will voice protest.” The member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun believes that people have a more political approach, and “giving out potatoes” will not be effective.
The Bargavach Hayastan Party enjoys Robert Kocharyan’s support, whereas the old ARF Dashnaktsutyun has been supporting Robert Kocharyan all through these years. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun is not jealous. And generally the ARF Dashnaktsutyun is against personifying politics. “We cannot build our future on personal relations.”
