15-YEAR-OLD INDEPENDENCE
- On September 21, 2006 the independent post-Soviet Republic of Armenia became 15. What were these years like? This was talked about a lot until the Independence Day and will certainly be talked about after it. The opinions and evaluations are different, each has its share of truth, one much and one less. And there is an unambiguous truth that the Independence of the state is an indisputable value and belongs to everyone and was acquired by joint effort. We can debate about the rest, but after the holiday.

And for the time being, the celebrations that started several days before the anniversary of Independence culminated in the parade in the Republic Square on September 21. It has an important place among the celebrations and received the greatest attention. There were thousands of people in the Republic Square and the adjacent streets, Diasporan Armenians, foreigners, who were following the units of the National Army and the armament pass by. Almost all types of forces were present. And the three planes drew the Armenian tricolor flag in the air.
