ADVOCATES GOT CERTIFICATES
The Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, the Armenian offices of the Council of Europe and the OSCE held a seminar on September 18 and 19 on the protection of basic human rights and freedoms. The participants of the seminar received certificates on September 19.
Ruben Sahakyan, the head of the Chamber of Advocates says such seminars are important and necessary, and it would be good if other organizations also assisted advocates. Ruben Sahakyan is against distinguishing the procuracy and the chamber of advocates, for these are opponents in the court of law, but he also thinks that in implementing projects it is necessary to take into account that unlike the procuracy the advocates do not receive government assistance.
The European experts, who think that our advocates are highly qualified , are hopeful that they will use their skills in court for the sake of a more safe and fair society.
