TROUT AND EGGS IS NOT PRECONDITION OF POWER

On September 14 the government of Armenia adopted a policy on the use of a new biotechnology of artificial reproduction of populations of endemic species of fish of Lake Sevan (trout, khramulya, barbel). The new policy is intended to increase the population of gegharkuni trout, summer trout, as well as barbel and khramulya (varicorhinus capoeta) on certain funding. In fact, it goes without saying how important and urgent it is to preserve these species, considering that even the officials of the Ministry of Environmental Protection confess that these species may become extinct in Lake Sevan. They say, for instance, that presently they speak about trout in terms of individuals, neither tons nor even kilos.
And since the lake is running out of trout, and the appetite is good, the government has at last decided to protect and reproduce the trout, the khramulya and the barbel with a policy. It means several hundreds of thousands of spawn will be dropped into the lake for the artificial reproduction of these species. No doubt, if the policy is fulfilled, in four years it will be necessary to start thinking of how to stop artificially the reproduction of populations of these species because these fish will multiply to the point of threatening the security of the president of Armenia. It is not a secret that the president likes to spend his vacation in his summer house near Sevan and goes in for surfing and water scooter. Meanwhile, in four years, due to the government policy, the trout, the khramulya and the barbel will become so many that they will fall under the surfing board or scooter of the president.
No need to worry, however. The fish will not multiply. No need to underestimate the appetite of the present-day Armenian bourgeoisie who eat trout and eggs in the morning, trout kebab at midday and barbequed trout in the evening. Thereby they guarantee demand for the supply of poachers, and become the protectors of these poachers. And one can be sure that this elite should keep a diet for 10 years until a trout dares to reproduce in Sevan in ten years. Therefore, if the government is worried about the reproduction of populations of endemic species in Sevan, it had better work out and implement a policy of artificial and if necessity arises, also natural reduction of the population of poachers rather than a policy of reproduction of fish. In that case, the fish will reproduce themselves. Of course, they will have to prepare psychologically the administrative and business bourgeoisie first to explain them that the temporary absence of the trout on their menu will not lead to a change of power. This will reassure them and they will agree to leave alone the poor trout and start their day with carp and eggs for some time not to lose the trout forever.
