BASED ON THE MADRID PRINCIPLES

• The proposals which the Armenian and Azeri Presidents advanced in June with regard to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict will serve as a basis for the negotiations to be held between the two countries’ Foreign Ministers at the beginning of August.

  “The negotiations to be held in Moscow between the Armenian and Azeri Foreign Ministers mark the beginning of new activities which were proposed by the two countries’ Presidents in St. Petersburg.

  The Karabakh peace talks will be held based on the Madrid proposals,” Bernard Fassier, French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group said.
