RALLY IN FRONT OF THE RUSSIAN EMBASSY
Around 100 people yesterday held a rally in front of the Russian Embassy.
The demonstrators voiced their protest in support of Levon Chakhmakhchyan, Former Head of the RF Federal Council, Head of the Association of the Armenian-Russian Business Cooperation, leader of the pan-Russian public movement “For the Sake of the Self-Government of Workmen”. Since February 1, 2007 Mr. Chakhmakhchyan has been kept in detention in the penitentiary of Lefortovo, in connection with the corruption scandal in “Transaero” air company.
The participants of the protest gave the Russian Ambassador the letter addressed to RF President Dmitry Medvedev.
