THERE ARE NO POLITICAL PRISONERS IN ARMENIA
According to Aram Safaryan: “There are no political prisoners in Armenia. Some people can call the detentions “on political grounds”. Yes the Council of Europe really demands to release certain detainees and in my view very soon corresponding decisions will be made regarding this issue.
But we must try to differentiate two things: those who committed crimes on March 1-2 must be punished and they can use certain mechanisms of amnesty towards the others.”
