TO DISCUSS THE GENOCIDE ISSUE
The Israeli parliament (Kneset) yesterday decided to discuss the issue of the Armenian Genocide, the ARFD “Hay Dat” Committee of Jerusalem reports.
Last year on March 14 Knestet refused to discuss this issue. Like in 2007, the proposal to include the issue in the agenda of the Parliament was made by Hayim Oron, Head of the socialist party “Merets”. All the 11 socialist MPs participating in the parliamentary sitting voted in favor of the proposal.

Today in Armenian history- 1768 Birth of satirist and public figure Grigor Anooshian (Anoosh) in Rooshtshook (Bulgaria). He is a prominent figure in modern Armenian literature. He died in 1830 in Bucharest.
