SASOUN MIKAYELYAN'S ARSENAL
- As a result of the operational-technical activities carried out in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the NSS agencies, it became known that NA Deputy Sasoun Mikayelyan, arrested on March 12 under Section 3, Article 225 and Section 1, Article 300 of the RA Criminal Code, had instructed Edik Khachatryan, watchman of “Vanatour” restaurant (which is situated in Hrazdan and is under his ownership) to hide the ammunition stored by him.
As a result of the operations-investigative activities, 20 grenades of type F-1, RGD-5 and RG-42, as well as 15 antitank grenades, 8 explosives of an antitank grenade, 11 boxes of firearm and machine-gun bullets of different calibers, 1 charged shell of a self-firing gun, 15 explosives of F-1 grenade, 2 missiles with a light signal, 15 syringe needles, 2 vials of “Prometagin” psychotropic drug, a large quantity of bullets of different calibers and 1 handmade gun were discovered and confiscated from the fish breeding pool situated in the territory of “Vanatour” restaurant complex.
By the way, similar grenades of type F-1, RG-42 were also discovered on the Opera Square on March 1.

Today in Armenian history- 1854 England, France, and Turkey, declare war on Russia.
- 1862 Birth of Grigoris Galemkarian in Constantinople, media historian, linguist, bibliographer and member of the Mkhitarist Congregation in Vienna.
- 1869 Birth of Vaseelee Bartold in St. Petersburg, oriental studies scholar and academician. Many of his studies are devoted to Armenian subjects. In the Encyclopedia of Islam, he published a series of articles on mediaeval Armenian cities.

- 1907 Death of Hambardzoom Alatjatjyan, the editor of "Poonj" daily.
- 1920 Opening of the Jury Court in Yerevan.
- 1921 Soghomon Tehlirian executes Talaat Pasha in his hiding place in Berlin (Germany). Talaat was one of the perpetrators of the 1915 Armenian Genocide which killed about one million Armenians. Tehlirian was tried and found innocent of murder because of the nature of the person he killed. Despite this, today, Talaat is revered in Turkey.
