NO VIOLENCE USED
On February 25, 09:30 a.m., the Ombudsman’s Office received a report that Smbat Ayvazyan had been subjected to pressure and torture by police officers.
The working group set up by the recommendation of Aram Haroutyunyan immediately visited the Police Department of Kentron district and had a private talk with him in the Investigative Department. During the meeting, S. Ayvazyan refuted the information on the use of violence and torture against him. Smbat Ayvazyan also mentioned that he had no problem with regard to either his health condition or the investigative operations. S. Ayvazyan has a lawyer appointed by him.
