TOWARDS WELL-OFF AND PROSPEROUS, DEFENDED AND PROUD ARMENIA

Prime Minister, presidential candidate Serge Sargsyan continued his pre-election meetings in Shirak province. His first meeting was in community Lanjik, after which RPA leader visited villages Pemzashen and Azatan.

In the afternoon Serge Sargsyan was in Gyumri. The presidential candidate considered the presence of thousands of people in the Theatrical Square extremely obliging: “ It is both difficult and meanwhile very honorable to get the unanimous support of the people of Gyumri. Hard working people, who appreciate art and craft, will never vote for the liars, hypocrites, those who only shower promises.
I’m thankful to the thousands of people who came to meet with me. This means you are full of hope and belief. This means Gyumri is not pessimistic anymore about its future. This means Gyumri prefers to work and rejects the hidden “leaders” who, during the hard times, used to sit in their rooms. Yes it is very difficult to enumerate the problems faced by Gyumri, but believe me very soon you will bring back the glory of your town.”
The Prime Minister mentioned the people of Gyumri, like the people of whole Armenia never bend towards the difficulties, they simply complain about the existing injustice: “The people of Gyumri are patient, but they always protest against injustice. Yes, there were times when the authorities used to ignore the problems faced by Gyumri. We are well conscious that ten years following the earthquake have spoiled the life of a whole generation. I strongly believe with your help we can compensate those years.”
Serge Sargsyan underscored that during the campaign the struggle between the past and the future has become stronger. He said in such cases it is good to remember the famous saying “when you forget about your past it is repeated”. So, we must look forward, let’s believe in the future and try to overcome all the obstacles. ”During the forthcoming five years we must restore Gyumri, we must create guarantees for Gyumri to become the country’s Northern capital. We will try to finish the construction of the town to make it ready to host the participants of the Pan-Armenian games. We will organize Armenia-Diaspora congress in Gyumri. I want to become Armenian President to solve the before mentioned and many other issues. I want to see a swift and stable development in our country. The past should never come back. Together we will build new Armenia. And I believe together we will achieve our purpose because our program will get people’s support.”
