PRESIDENTS MEET

“Our meetings are of conventional nature, but this one is particular, because the 10th anniversary of our principal Document on Friendship and Cooperation will take place after some days,” Vladimir Putin mentioned after accepting Robert Kocharyan in his residence in Sochy - “Bocharov Ruchey”.
He emphasized with satisfaction that the relations between the two countries develop, commodity circulation grows, and in the political sphere alliance cooperation has been established.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome Robert Kocharyan in his turn emphasized that Russian-Armenian relations develop in all the spheres, investments, commodity circulation and military-technical and political cooperation consistently grow.
In this respect time after time the necessity of synthesizing the attitudes and holding consultations appears.
RA President emphasized with happiness that the dynamic process of developing bilateral relations is on and Armenian party is ready to take the responsibility of contributing to this high level process.
Later the two Presidents discussed a broad framework of bilateral relations, including the prospect of the development of business relations, implementing greater joint programs in Armenia, as well as regional issues.
We should underscore that this is the third private meeting between the two Presidents this year. On January R.Kocharyan and V. Putin met in Sochy. Beside that the two Presidents participated in June 10 CIS non-official summit in St Petersburg and on June 30 by the invitation of his counterpart RA President was present at the horse-race hold for the reward of the Russian President.
During the first term of the current year as compared to the same period of the previous year the bilateral commodity circulation has grown by 70%, making 337 million dollars. It is expected that during this year the volume of the commodity circulation will exceed 0,5 billion dollars. For Armenia Russia is considered the principal foreign investor.
In general the volume of the capital investments from Russia during those 15 years makes 800 dollars.
