WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISGRACE
Matthew Bryza, the American Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, made the following statement in Baku yesterday: “It would have been a disgrace if the long-term activity of the OSCE Minsk group had produced no effect.”
The Co-Chair finds that, “the parties have to reach an agreement by the 2008 presidential elections.” Mr. Bryza made the successive statement saying that, “the regulation of the conflict depends on the decisions of the 2 countries’ leaders.” As to the visits of the Armenian and Azeri intellectuals, they must have a more frequent nature.
“It is possible to achieve mutual concessions in the Krabakh settlement process, and we are very close to that. The states have to make sacrifices in order to achieve something,” M. Bryza mentioned.
