WITHOUT BREACHES
“The NKR presidential elections were held in compliance with all the standards recognized internationally: free, fair and transparent,” Head of “Free Society Institute” NGO Edgar Hakobyan, who was an observer during the NKR Presidential elections, announced yesterday.
Introducing the results of the observation mission, he mentioned that the elections were held based on the alternative principle, since there were 5 candidates running for Presidency. “The observers did not record any breach or failure during the balloting of the voters, the calculation of the votes and the transportation of the CEC protocols from the polling stations.
There were no attempts by strangers, state institutions or law enforcement agencies to intervene in the activity of the precincts or to predetermine the outcome of the elections,” E. Hakobyan said.
According to the NGO President, they had recorded no cases of braches or electoral frauds; there were certain technical flaws which, however, could not predetermine either the course or the outcome of the elections.
