CAMPAIGN FOR JUSTICE
For the sake of establishing social justice and equality of rights; for the sake of dignified living standards and high salaries, against economic monopolies, corruption and exploitation of employees – these were the slogans under which 4000 thousand young people went on a march yesterday. The event was organized by the ARF “Nikol Aghbalyan” union and the Armenian Youth Association.
The march started from near the central building of the Yerevan State University. The young people wearing red, blue and orange T-shirts symbolizing the tailored flag were holding posters with the slogans, “No to Corruption”, “No to Illegitimacy”, “Yes to Equality of Rights”, “New Working Places”, “Work for the Unemployed”, “High Salary”, “Dashnaksoutyun Stands by Working People” etc.
And the scarecrows of the corrupt official and employer-exploiter immediately appeared in the center of everybody’s attention.
The participants of the march walked over Alek Manoukyan, Koryun, Mastotsh and Amiryan streets and the last place they visited was Charles Aznavour Square where the scarecrows were burned under the exclamations “Serves them right!”
