NOTHING CAN BE DONE WITHOUT THE PEOPLE’S SUPPORT
- Chairman of RPA council Serge Sargsyan continues his regular visits to the provinces.
Yesterday Serge Sargsyan was in Ararat marz (province). His first meeting was in the square of town Masis. Taking into consideration the fact that yesterday was May 1, International Labor Day, the Prime Minister firstly congratulated the participants of the meeting on this occasion and added, “ Right to employment is a fundamental human right and perseverance is the best virtue of the humanity. That is why the Republican Party is always consistent in opening new working places. One of the guidelines of the Republican Party pre-election program is to create favorable economic conditions for building factories in all the dwelling places in Armenia.”
Touching upon the regular dreamlike promises that are usually very popular during the pre-election process Serge Sargsyan appealed to the participants of the meeting to be vigilant before making their choice. “You shouldn’t believe bogus ideas that are very popular during the pre –election process. To gain votes these people promise to shower you with tax privileges, to increase the salaries and pension. The Republican Party can’t go back after the hard work of seven years. If we give privileges to the frontier areas, we will have tax payers only in Yerevan, because all the provinces in Armenia are frontier areas.”
In the afternoon the Prime Minister was in town Vedy, where he introduced the pre-election program of the Republican Party with all the details, “During the coming years our task is, to build roads, to provide good communication system, to solve the water problem, and the accomplished activity of the cultural and educational centers. We are set to create an insurance system, so that the farmers will be less dependent upon the whim of the nature. No one is better aware of the problems of our country than me. We should be more realistic. No one has the right to give sham promises. The worst official is the one who lies, the one who can’t confess that one year is not enough the solve all the problems. And remember that no government can have success without the support and trust of the people.”
Chairman of RPA assured that the party will definitely carry out the recent projects and that the living condition will improve,” Not the people living in Vedy and the neighboring villages should look for a job, but the owners of the enterprises should look for employees. But if I promise you that tomorrow several modern factories will appear in Vedy, just throw me out of your town and consider me a liar.”
“Our government is realistic. It is planning to build reprocessing enterprises in Ararat, which will establish thousand working places and will multiply the income from 5-6 times. To realize this goal we have already started the project of providing state support for the farmers.
None of our citizens should have inferiority complex, this is the reason why we don’t want to give privileges to this or that area. To accomplish this, we must have a strong government. The people should not be scared of the government they should trust it.”
The square of town Ararat was chock-full. The people gave lots of letters to the Prime Minister and spoke about the problems the town faces. He said,” If we don’t manage to establish a productive tax administration we will not manage to solve the social problems. We have lots of things to do to realize this goal. The political powers that speculate the difficulties are well conscious that they won’t come to power and that they are not the ones to shoulder the responsibility of solving these problems. They are well conscious of the fact that the Republicans are going to gain the majority of the votes, and they want to bargain with us by speculations. We are not against the unification of all the capable political powers, and of civil agreement. But here is, where we face the difference between the goals and whet of appetite.”
