ARMENIAN PRESIDENT HAS A PHONE CONVERSATION WITH US PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Within the framework of the All-Armenian tour Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan while in Los Angeles had a phone conversation with US President Barack Obama on the initiative of the latter.
Obama expressed his support to the efforts directed toward normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. The US president once again reiterated the official position of USA that the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations must proceed without any precondition and must not be tied with the Karabakh conflict regulation process.
Armenian President thanked the US President for the support in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and shared with his impressions over the All-Armenian tour.
Armenian President pointed out that the concerns of the world-spread Armenians over the process are natural, taking into consideration the fact that Armenian people were subjected to genocide by the Ottoman Turkey about which Obama has many times noted in his speeches.
Serzh Sargsyan thanked Barack Obama for the US mediation in Karabakh conflict regulation and pointed out Armenia's readiness to move forward in the solution of the issue which must be the expression of free will of the Karabakh people, decision of the final legal status of Nagorno Karabakh which is the basis of the Madrid principles of the Minsk group, Armenpress reports.
