An international science conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of birth of Hovhannes Lepsius will be held on September 8 at the chairmanship hall of Yerevan National Academy of s.
Director of Yerevan Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide Hayk Demoyan, Academician Ashot Hayruni (Armenia), Professor Manfred Ashken, Dr.Tilman Alert, Dr. Andreas Baumann from Germany, Rubina Pirumian from the USA, Artem Ohanjanian from Austria will participate in the conference.
Grandson of Hovhannes Lepsius, Manfred Ashke will deliver a 45-minute speech at the conference, Deputy Director of the Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide Suren Manukian told "Armenpress". He mentioned that taking into account the fact that Hovhannes Lepsius was recently charged with being anti-Semitic, the conference will touch upon the question to clarify if there are bases for the similar opinions.
