AZERBAIJANI DEPUTY ACCUSES MAYOR OF KARS
On a meeting dedicated to the starting of Kars-Baku charter flights, Azerbaijani parliament deputy Ganira Pashayeva accused the Mayor of Kars, Naif Alibeyoglu, for provocations related to the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border.
The matter is that since 2004 municipal administration of Kars had started collecting signatures of the citizens in favor of opening the border with Armenia. When the Mayor represented the results of the campaign, 50 thousand signatures in favor of opening the border, Pashayeva sprang up and declared that anyone, assuring that opening the Armenian-Turkish border will benefit Turkey, is a mere provocateur.
