ILHAM ALIYEV BECOMES INTERPRETER FOR SERGE SARKISIAN AND ABDULLAH GUL
President of Armenia Serge Sarkisian, who was on an official visit to Kazakhstan, had a brief meeting with Abdullah Gul, the President of Turkey. According to information provided by "Jihan" news agency, the Turkish President once again congratulated Mr. Sarkisian on the occasion of being elected President and stated that he had received the invitation of the Armenian President to attend the September 6 football game between Armenia and Turkey, which is to take place in Yerevan. Being asked whether he plans to attend the game, President Gul answered that the question will be decided with the administration.
It is also reported that president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the conversation of the Armenian and Turkish presidents, which took place on the festive ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the new capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana. Ilham Aliyev offered his help as an interpreter, to which President Sarkisian replied that he knows Turkish. Anyways, the Azerbaijani President interpreted the conversation of his Armenian and Turkish colleagues because of Serge Sarkisian's poor skills in Turkish, "Noyyan Tapan" reports.
