ARMENIAN AND AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENTS TO MEET ON JUNE 7
Serge Sargsian and Ilham Aliyev, the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan are supposed to meet on June 7 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
According to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian's report, made today at the National Assembly, it is always necessary to be optimistic for seeing basis for the regulation of the conflict. He expressed hope that the meeting of the presidents will open new doors in the process.
The Foreign Minister stated that Armenia insists on continuation of negotiations. He said that Armenia has expressed its readiness to continue the negotiations on the basis of the suggestions which were presented by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in Madrid and it is necessary that the negations continue on their basis," Nalbandian said.
Currently the core of the negotiations is the status of Nagorno Karabakh, which must be regulated taking into consideration the wish of the people of Artsakh.
