PRESIDENT SERGE SARGSIAN IN NAGORNO KARABAKH
Delegation led by RA President Serge Sargsian left for the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh on May 8, President's Press Office reported.
The delegation was comprised of the Secretary of RA National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian, Head of NA Republican Faction Karen Karapetian, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian, Agriculture Minister Davit Lokian, Minister of Finance Tigran Davtian, Healthcare Minister Harutyun Kushkian and Minister of Emergency Situations Mher Shahgeldian.
The delegation participated in the events dedicated to NKR Defense Army formation, 16th anniversary of Shushi liberation and the Victory Day.
On May 8, RA President Serge Sargsian had a conversation with NKR President Bako Sahakian. Wide scope of issues of Armenian and Karabakh cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
The same day RA President Serge Sargsian participated in the event organized in Stepanakert House of Officer.
On May 9, Serge Sargsian visited Stepanakert memorial and laid flowers at the tombs of liberators that fell victim to Artsakh war. Then the delegation headed for Shushi. RA President Serge Sargsian laid a wreath at Vazgen Sargsian monument. After that the delegation participated in the holy mass in Shushi St. Ghazanchetsots Church, and then visited Gandzasar.
