AGREEMENT BETWEEN GENOCIDE MUSEUMS
The Museum of America and Museum-Institute of Yerevan signed a cooperation agreement in Yerevan.
The agreement is signed by the Director of Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of America Van Z. Grigorian.
The agreement anticipates constant cooperation that will give opportunity to the two museums to come to an agreement about their programs and exchange experience.

- 1981 The United States Holocaust Memorial Council, an independent Federal agency, unanimously resolved that the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum would include the Armenian Genocide in the Museum and has since done so.
- 1991 Soviet and Azeri Turkish forces start "Operation Circle" in Getashen and Martakert.
- 1993 The UN Security Council, at its 3205th meeting, adopts resolution 822.
