JOHN PRESCOTT WELCOMES
Head of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Observation Mission John Prescott issued a statement on March 10 that welcomes the decision of Armenian authorities on relieving the conditions of the state of emergency. He especially welcomes the abolition of the points that prohibited the activity of the political parties and public organizations
Mr. Prescott calls the authorities to lift the points that limit the freedom of the media. He mentions that the created inner political crisis may be solved by recognition of supremacy of Constitutional Court decision, lifting of state of emergency, maintenance of human rights and freedoms, independent studying of March 1 incidents, starting of dialogue between all political forces and by electoral reforms.
John Prescott calls all political forces to start a reasonable and responsible dialogue.
