ARMENIAN ARMY ALWAYS EFFICIENT
On January 28, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the Armenian Army, Armenian Defense Minister Michael Harutyunian laid wreaths to Erablur.
He told journalists that the Armenian Army has settled its problems during last 16 years, it has shown its power, that makes Azerbaijan issue military announcements.
Touching upon the question if its possible for the army to enter into a contract military service, Defense Minister answered, "I don't see any reason to enter into a contract military service, as we should create an economy and a state that will have opportunity to do it. The main guarantee of national security is the army. Those who want to reduce the army they don't know well the problems of our armed forces. We have 1300 km border with our neighbor country".
What about the coming presidential elections Michael Harutyunian said, "I am going to support Serge Sargsian's candidacy, in him I see the person that can lead our country, even if the country is in war".
