3972 HOMELESS FAMILIES IN GYUMRI
Several NGOs of Gyumri, representatives of the corresponding departments of Gyumri Municipality and Regional Council, also scientists and journalists discussed the state of the homeless in Gyumri, informed Gyumri "Asparez" Club of Journalists.
The discussions concluded that there are 3972 homeless families in Gyumri at present.
It was informed that 815 mln drams is appropriated from the Budget-2008 for implementing "Certificates to Buy Apartments" program anticipated to allocate apartments to the homeless.
According to most of the participants of the discussions, the program is not able to solve the present-day issue of the homeless in Gyumri.
