DONATIONS IN ARTSAKH TEN TIMES MORE COMPARED WITH THE PREVIOUS ONE
This year Artsakh participated in the Telethon with unprecedented activity - ten times more as compared with the indexes of Telethon-2006", announced Head of NKR Government Department of Local Governance Andranik Aghababian.
To the benefit of NKR social-economic development more than 300 organizations and many individuals announced about their readiness to participate in the donation.
Total sum of the announced donations is one million US dollars. More than 100 organizations have already transferred the promised money at the account of "Armenia" all-Armenian foundation.
The biggest Artsakh donator of the telethon is "Base metals" company with the donation of 70 million Armenian drams. "K-Telecom", "Hayq clock and jewellery" companies and NKR Armed Forces transferred 37.000.000 drams each. "Artsakhbank" CJSC,
NKR President and Government staffs and NKR Office of Public Prosecutors donated one million drams each.
Martuni province was one of the actives, as part of the donations of "Telethon 2007" will be directed to the resolution of social-economic issues of this province.
The displayed activity of the national telethon is explained by the belief and hope towards the authorities and that the collected money will wholly serve the purpose.

- 1920 Lenin chairs a meeting of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party on the political question of Armenia and Georgia.
- 1991 The USSR Constitutional Oversight Committee deems unconstitutional the Supreme Soviets decision to create a Republic Organizational Committee in Soviet Azerbaijan headed by Viktor Polianichko (on 1990 01 15) in Artsakh as well as the 1991 11 23 decision by Azerbaijani President Mutalibov to dissolve the Nagorno Gharabagh Autonomous Region. It also revoked the reunification decision taken by Armenia and Artsakh on 1989 12 01. It does not annul the decision (1991 09 02) of the Nagorno Karabagh District Councils (including the Shahumian district) on the establishment of the Republic of Nagorno Karabagh. That decision was deemed in compliance with the then existing law of 1990 04 03 on the Procedure of Secession of a Soviet Republic from the USSR.
