NATIONALISM IN TURKEY

November 23 in the town of Malatia, Turkey, were brought to court trial five young Turks, accused for the murder of three employees of "Zirve" publishing house, which specializes in Christian literature.
According to the Prosecution, the 5 suspects had established a militarized terrorist organization so as to spread their ideology by the means of brute force. 19-year old Emre Gunaydin was recognized the leader of the group and the organizer of the murders. One of the victims was a citizen of Germany, the other two were citizens of Turkey. To the suspects opinion, the Christian missions in Turkey are aimed at ruining the Turkish statehood.
