NATO SCIENCE CONFERENCE ON NETWORKS IN ARMENIA
Yesterday, at "Ani Plaza" hotel, Yerevan started a NATO science conference, entitled "Science and Education Networks in Armenia. Achievements, Objectives and Solutions". Representatives of Southern Caucasian national science and education institutions, experts from Southern and Central Europe, Central Asia and the USA were present to the event.
According to the list of the participants of the conference, all the reporters both from Armenia and abroad were present to the conference. It is remarkable that on the other hand local communication servicing companies and NGOs were represented by a very few number of delegates.
In any case, the words of welcome, spoken by the president of the National Science Academy of Armenia, Vice-Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Education, NATO representatives and other figures, were expressing wishes for network development in Armenia and were promising Armenia to become one of the moist important regional centers in this sphere. A number of issues concerning regional cooperation, present objectives and ways of their achievement are to be discussed on the three-day conference.
