MUSIC FESTIVAL IN ARMENIA
The Embassy of France in Armenia, the Culture Ministry of Armenia, the city municipality of Yerevan and administration of "Kentron" community of Yerevan on June 21, the day of summer equinox, organize a program of events, entitled "Music Festival". On the same day a number of events dedicated to the Armenian culture will take place in Paris in the frameworks of the Year of Armenia in France. With this initiative Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is joining over 340 towns in 100 countries worldwide, like Paris, Berlin, London, Dubai, Sidney, Sao Paolo, Athens, Sarajevo, Rome, Geneva, Hong-Kong, San Francisco, Osaka, etc.
The music events in Yerevan will start with the performance of classic music of the "Serenade" ensemble at 7:00 PM. A rock concert will take place at the Charles Aznavour square. Other concerts will take place on the Moscow Square, the Conservatory Park and elsewhere in the town. The concerts will last until midnight. Culture attaché of the French Embassy said that this festival was intended as a present for the Armenian music lovers on behalf of the people of France.
