DEATH OF IMAM KHOMEYNI COMMEMORATED AT RA NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
The 18 anniversary of Imam Khomeyny's death was commemorated at RA National RA National Academy of Science, yesterday. Imam Khomeyny was the leader of Iranian Islamic Revolution. "Influence and Discussion of Imam Khomeyny's Ideas in the World" conference was organized at the initiative of the Iranian Embassy to Armenia, RA National Academy of Science, the House of Iranian culture in Armenia and "Mihr" Armenian -Iranian Club. Iranian Ambassador Ali Reza Haghighian, Cultural Attache Reza Atoufie, Radik Martirosian, Chairman of RA National Acedemy of Science, Aram Simonian, rector of the Yerevan State University, clergymen from the Holly See of St. Echmiadzin, Garnik Asatrian, Chairman of the Chair of the Iranian Studies at the Yerevan State University, Levon Ananian, Chairman of RA Writers' Union, as well as other high ranked guests were present at the event.
In their reports, the present praised the honors of Imam Khomeyny and highly estimated his contribution to the development of the Iranian culture.
