NIKOLA SARKOZY TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN INSTEAD OF JAK SHIRAK
The newly elected French President Nikola Sarkozy is to visit Azerbaijan, informed First Adviser of French Ambassador in Azerbaijan Silven Gioge, according to "Novosti Azerbiajan" agency. It will be an official visit for the duration of several days.
To remind, Ilham Aliyev visited France in January of this year, when Jak Shirak was on duty of the President of France. They came to an agreement about the official visit of Jak Shirak to Azerbaijan, but the latter couldn't pay a visit to Azerbaijan, because of his busy schedule and the end of his official duties.
The First Adviser of the Ambassador mentioned that the official invitation was not sent out to a concrete person, but to the President of France. Therefore Nikola Sarkozy will pay the visit.
